The early stage family upbringing of 0-3 infant is very important to one's lifetime development. In the recent years, the quality of 0-3 infant's living and development causes the social attention in rural families of Gansu. Basing on the previous researches, having the 265 families of 0-3 infant as the objects of study in 158 villages of 3 towns, Kongtong district, Pingliang city, Gansu, using the methods of qualitative research and quantitative research, this paper inquires into the conditions of 0-3 rural infant's family upbringing, and makes some countermeasures and suggestions for impelling the development of the work of 0-3 rural infant's family upbringing in Gansu.The main research findings are as follows:I . Parents' view to 0-3 infant's early education is weak. On the view of upbringing, they take feeding seriously and ignore the infant's education, and take boy seriously and ignores girl. There are differences between parents and grandparents in the view of upbringing.II. In the upbringing of 0-3 infant, there are hidden troubles and questions on the aspects of added foods, inoculation and daily hygiene. In family upbringing, parents lacks the consciousness that daily feeding combines with educating children. There are phenomena of spoiling children and beating and scolding children.III. In the 0-3 infant family upbringing, father has no role to infants and the role consciousness of father is weak.IV. Seeing from the current conditions of 0-3 infant family education work, there are a certain gap between the early stage educational service of the community and the needs of parents. Parents' needs aren't met. In the early stage educational service of the community, formalism and superficial phenomenon are serious. There are some questions that the instructors are few, the methods of guide are deficient, and the contents of guide lack scientific theory and aren't aimed at the practical questions.Basing on the research results, the paper points that the work of 0-3 rural infant family education should socialize, should use fully human resources, and should strengthen instructors' training. This paper make some suggestions that the objects of guide should be overall, the tune of guide should be flexible, the patterns of guide should be more and the contents of guide should be aimed at the exiting questions.
