Study On The Motivation To The Teaching Of University P.E. Teachers

P.E. teaching is always the central task of university P.E.. The quality of P.E. teaching is the lifeline of university P.E. Teacher is the main factor that directly influences the quality of the P.E. teaching. So how to arouse the enthusiasm of P.E. teachers and maximize the efficiency of the P.E. teaching is the problem that should be considered by the P.E administrators. Only the vigorous P.E. teaching management system and the effective action could arouse the P.E. teachers' teaching enthusiasm, promote the full play of their teaching ability, improve the teaching quality.In this article, the author analyzed the status quo of positivity of university P.E. teachers. And then, based on neoteric and contemporary motivation theory, the factors influencing teaching positivity of P.E. teachers in university were investigated. We have found that the factors which influence the enthusiasm of P.E. teachers were concentrated mainly in six aspects, such as the sense of work achievement, teaching condition, wage and welfare, teaching evaluation and the assess method, school policy and the social status. This article has analyzed these factors and brought forward some countermeasures to some problems including how to promote the P.E. teacher's social status, enhance sense of teaching achievement, introduce teaching competitive mechanism, establish equitable teaching evaluation mechanism and improve teaching condition. The author thinks that the P.E. administrators in university should think much of these matters, and take effective measures to motivate P.E. teaching in university. We believe that it is possible to arouse the enthusiasm of P.E. teachers in university, and the P.E. teaching quality and students' attainment would be improved generally.
