According to the internal and external researching achievements and my teaching experience, this paper is mostly studying the teachers' non-language expressions in Chinese teaching. It not only includes the non-language expressions' connotation, classification, features and functions, but also goes further into how improve Chinese teachers' ability of using non-language to express.The non-language expressions in Chinese teaching is that the teachers use the non-sound language which is out of sounds during teaching to carry out the Chinese teaching expressings' activities. For instance, facial expressions, body's movement, gestures, eyes and so on and the supplementary language which includes intonation and rhythm.In Chinese teaching, the non-language expressions system is classified by paralanguage, posture-language, paraposture-language and time and space language expressions systems. It has the following outstanding features: the supplementary character in informations' conveying actions, the vagueness in informations' conveying implications, the flexibility in informations' conveying forms and the non-definable character in informations' conveying capacity. First, the teachers' non-language expressions help strengthen the language expressions in Chinese teaching, and expand the informations. Second, the teachers' non-language expressions help kindle the students' learning interest, then get more classroom instruction's effects. Third, they help convey each other's thoughts and feelings, then promote the emotion interchange between teachers and students. Fourth, they help control the classroom instructions, and promote the management of the classroom teaching. Fifth, they help set an example in education, help portray a heroic teacher and improve the makings of students.This paper is also studying some ways of Chinese teachers' levels which how to use the non-language expressions to modify. First, we should take the matter seriously on our thoughts and renew on our ideas. Second, we should master a wealth of non-language expressions' vocabulary and non-language expressions' skills. Third, we should follow the teachers' non-language expressions' principles in Chinese teaching. Fourth, we should practice more and improve the abilities. Fifth, we should strengthen the Chinese teachers' training in every aspect.In summary, in order to improve the Chinese teachers' abilities of using the non-language expressions and get more Chinese classroom instruction's effects, it is very necessary to get a deeper knowledge of non-language expressions in Chinese teaching. And it is rewarding for us to further study. I hope this paper can bring something for you.
