In this thesis the basic theoretical problems are discussed, including the concepts, classifications, features and present situation of the Online Instruction. Based on the discussion, the problems and misunderstandings existing in the Online Instruction of China are analyzed, and the corresponding solutions and principles are stated by diagnosing the pathological phenomena in the practice of Online Instruction in our nation. The aim of this paper is promoting the beneficial and sustainable development.Seven parts are concluded in this paper.Part one : The Introduction.From the review of the studies on the Online Instruction, the purpose, the significance of the thesis are set forth.Part two: The General Statement of Online Instruction.Firstly, defining Online Instruction in broad sense and narrow sense, on the basis of introducing the studies on the concepts of Online Instruction both outer and inner our nation. Secondly, classifying Online Instruction from different angles. Finally, compared with traditional instruction, summarizing the basic features of Online Instruction on the aspects of structure, contents and methods.Part three: The theory origin of Online Instruction Pathology.This part explains the theory background and methodology of this study and set forth the definitions of Instruction Pathology. Instruction Thology and Instruction Disease. Based on the discussion of these definitions, the online instructionpathology is classified into two kinds-Dominant Pathologyand Potential Pathology and the Dominant Pathology is alsoclassified into two kinds-External Pathology and InherentPathology.Part four: An analysis on the dominant pathology of Online Instruction.The beginning of this part is an introduction about some representative phenomena in Online Instruction practice. Then, taking the introduction of phenomena as the basis, an exploration on the actuality of Online Instruction and its problems in our nation. This probe is basically composed of examinations on both external and inherent features of six ubiquitous issues in this practice as following: the issue of quality supervision and social recognition, the exploitation and share of resource, non-industrialization operation, the making of teachers, student adaptability and the lack of instructional theories.Part five: An analysis on the potential pathology of Online Instruction.In this part, the focus is concentrated on some potential disadvantages of Online Instruction. Five major hidden dangers of Online Instruction which are covered by the possible advantages are pointed out after deeply analyzing.Part six: Curing principles and Reactions.In view of the existing problems in the Online Instruction practice of China, this part not only globally points out five principles to deal with the problems, but also provides concrete suggestions to promot the beneficial and sustainable development.Part seven: The End.
