Stress ulcer induced by sport is special physiological and pathologicalphenomenon, exercice is a kind of stress which can bring about strong reaction inhuman body and the ulcer in gastric mucosa through many ways, which is characterizedby the bleeding erosion of gastric mucosa. In recent years, the reports of alimentary tractulcer induced by sport enhanced increasingly, stress ulcer have became a importantfactor which influence the normal training and exercise of athlete.The free radical will bring about lipid peroxidase and the damage of protein andDNA in human body. It will also damage the biomembrane, for example, the damage ofmitochondria will decrease the tricarboxylic acid cycle and oxidative phosphorylation,so the synthesis of ATP will be decresed. It will also damage the membrane protein suchas enzymes, receptors and ion channels. So the radical will decrease sport duracity.The major organ which rhubarb influence is alimentary tract, it can improve thelocomotion of stomach and intestine, protect the mucosa of stomach and intestine,prevent the damage of alimentary tract induced by stress, enhance the blood flow ingastric mucosa, make the digestion, absorption, secretion of the gastric mucosal cellfunctioning well, and have a significant influence on the content of blood homonerelated to stress ulcer and on the eliminating of free radical.Method: The experimental use SD 40 male rats healthy, weight 220-250g, andgroup them at random: rest control group (A), exhaustive exercise (B), exhaustiveexercise+medicine (C), fatigue sport (D), fatigue sport+medicine (E), eight in eachgroup. Except Group A, whose tissues are drawn in a quiet state, the rest of thegroups'tissues are drawn after they achieve the purpose their experimental modelsdemand. And then we measured the related data: the gastrin in the blood, GSH-Px, SOD,CAT in different tissues, and gastric ulcer index.Result: (1) exercise can enhance the gastric mucosal ulcer index, and the ulcerindex increase with the enhancement of exercise strength, rhubarb can effectivelyinhibite this effect (2) exercise can decrease the level of gastrin in the serum, and thelevel increase with the enhancement of exercise strength, rhubarb can effectively inhibitthis effect, and keep the stability of the gastrin level in serum relatively (3) excercisecan decrease the content of GSH-Px, SOD,CAT in different organs, and increase thecontent of MDA in different organs, rhubarb can effectively inhibit this effect, and keeprelative stability of the content of antioxide enzyme in different organs (4) exercise can increase the level of GOT, GPT in the serum, and the level have increased with theenhancement of exercise strength, rhubarb can effectively reduce this process (5) duringthe last ecercise of rats, contrast with the exercise group, the running meters and time ofrat in exercise+medicine group have increased relatively.Conclusion: (1) sport stress can induce gastric ulcer, and rhubarb can preventgastric ulcer very well; (2) gastrin can function in the prevention against gastric stressulcer, during sport, the content of gastrin in blood will decrease, and rhubarb can preventthis effect; (3) sport stress can increase the content of free radical in body, and decreasethe activity of antioxidant enzymes, rhubarb can eliminate the free radical, and protectorgans from being damaged during exhaustive exercise, and improve the sport duracity.
