Nowadays our country is in the social transitional period, the economical system is now transferring from the tranditional planned economic to market economic, and the economical increasing manner is now transferring from labor-intensive scattered economic to knowledge-intensive concentrated economic. The restructure of the economic structure must bring the restruture of the professional struture. And then it requires the laborors to have higher vocational capabilities. It has become an important issue in educational area to develop adult vocational capabilities to adjust the transformation of the economical system and professional struture. The thesis attempts to discover the education strategies of redeveloping the adult vocational capabilities in present China just from understanding the concept of adult vocational redevelopment. Simutaneously, the thesis considers the characteristics of the time being in present China and refers to successful experiences of adult vocational capabilities in developed countries. The thesis contains four parts:Part I . Concepts clarification. It is expected to establish a theoretical struture for the strategy research by way of defining the four basic concepts of vocational capability, adult vocational capability, vocational capability development and adult vocational capability redevelopment. The thesis points out that vocational capability refers to all characteristics of capabilities with which one accompanishes tendentious vocational activities and adapts to vocational transformation, according to one's own attitude and belief to vocational work, using one's own obtained knowledge. According to the research area in this thesisand because of the adult's on-the-job or having been on-the-job, the thesis points out that adult vocational capability includes on-the-job vocational capability and comprehensive vocational capability. On-the-job vocational capability means knowledge, skills and attitudes needed when one is fit for one's own work. Its most important premise is its on-the-job or having been on-the-job. Comprehensive vocational capability refers to the capabilities to adapt the modern job groups, including loving one's own profession, the ability of organization and management, the ability of modern productive works of communication and cooperation, the ability of expression and writing, the teamwork spirit, and the ability of continuing study, i.e. Vocational capability development means to fully develop one's own potantial capability in one's profession through kinds of education and training, and makes the possibility to develop into the reality to develop. Nowadays, adult vocational capabilities redevelopment refers to kinds of education and training through which on-the-job or having been on-the-job adults redevelop their potantial abilities to adapt the manpower needs of the development of the society, then it can solve many social problems, such as manpower transformation, the employment of the unemployed, job transformation and promotion, i.e. It should be guided by lifelong education and through lifelong education and training.Part II. Reality analysis. In this part the thesis disscusses the manpower reality in present China, by studying the lower educational background of manpower, higher pressure of labourers in finding jobs, lower vocational capabilities of labourers and not fully-developed human resource. In order to specify the manpower reality in present China, the author investigated many corporations by sending out papers which includes some questions for answer. The corporations includes state-owned, cooperative and private ones, involving steel, chemistry, electricity and other trades. People involved from human resource experts to common workers, the author got reliable datas. The thesis points out the manpower reality in present China by analysing datas.
