| Textbooks are important and indispensable factors in the teaching practice.However,it is not the only resources that teachers could use.New course reformation requires teachers to establish new point of views in courses,teaching and textbooks,encouraging teachers to use the textbooks in a creative way,proposing teachers to “teach by using the textbooks” rather than “teach the textbooks”.This is not only the internal requirements of new course’s idea and textbook policy,but a way solving contradictions of limited textbook and specific teaching contexts,as well as the objective demands of developing teacher’s personal professional competence.Literature research and questionnaire survey are the main methods in this thesis to study the current situation of “Textbooks Redevelopment”,aiming to know more about the teachers’ awareness,teaching process and the difficulties during the specific implementations and process,and finding out students’ demands for the textbook and evaluation of the results of“Textbooks Redevelopment”.This thesis takes the middle school’s English textbooks of Ren‘ai version as an example,designing questionnaire for the middle schools’ English teachers and junior school students,hoping to this thesis could offer some theory support and practices guide for the teachers in Haikou.This research shows that teachers and students still have many difficulties in the process of “Textbook Redevelopment”.For example,many teachers are not familiar with the curriculum standard and heavily affected by examination-oriented education,they pay little attention to students’ principal status and study needs.In addition,they have limited methods of “Textbook Redevelopment”.Therefore,the teachers’ consciousness and implementation of“Textbook Redevelopment” need to be further deepened and strengthened.Teachers should continue to enhance their professional ability.These problems could be solved both in the theoretical and practical ways.And this thesis offers suggestions and strategies of “Textbook Redevelopment” from both teachers and school administrators’ levels. |
