As a way of learning, the inquiry learning in Chinese classes of secondary schools has been promoted .The Chinese teaching and research group of Ba Meng middle school are undertaking the research into the way of learning . As one of the outcomes attached to the national research topic , this thesis intends to study the inquire learning in Chinese classes on the aspects of theory and practice ,summarize the features and patterns of the inquiry learning from lots experienced and activities carried out in different places, and provides scientific basis for carrying on the inquiry learning in Chinese classes in senior middle school. Beginning with the study of the importance of the way, the thesis makes an thorough analysis of the nature features and theoretical foundation of it. Then it integrates the way of inquiry learning with Chinese teaching practice . Hence it proposes some techniques to deal with the course design teaching patierns . Evaluation as well as operating procedures. Finally, the thesis illustrate with examples putting inquiry learning into Chinese teaching practice. It is concluded the way of inquiry learning used in the secondary Chinese classes is of great value.
