According to investigation, it's common difficult for pre-school students to study mathematics. The main reasons lie in cognition, emotion, determination, personality etc, which result in low acquisition of knowledge, barricade in mathematical reading and inferior ability in problem solving. In this paper, under the guide of modern pedagogy, psychology and mathematical education theory, the cause for the problem and countermove were discussed and studied. The pre-school students study was investigated by ways of investigation, data, observation and analysis. In this paper, by using of new notion of modern mathematics, the difficulty in mathematics study was analysed with the view to the students, the major, cognition, etc. The method for the problem solving was the characteristic teaching and studying.This paper includes five parts. In the first part, the background and meaning for the topic were discussed. In the second part, the present situation of pre-school students mathematics study was analysed by analyzing questionnaire and data. In the third part, the cause for the difficulty was investigated. In the fourth part, the countermove was raised with view to teaching and study. In the fifth part, the reflection of the mathematics teaching was stated.
