I think it a crux to design some excellent exercises in the workbook according to the textbook besides the explanation of the textbook, the style of the text and the standard of compilation . Because of the importance in position and effect of the exercise system , especially some shortages of the exercise system in the textbook , this thesis will point some shortages out about the construction of the living Chinese reading passages, which is based on the demand and aim of the reformation on Chinese curriculum and depends on the actuality of teaching Chinese. At the same time, this thesis will give some advice of the design of the exercise system on some reading. It contains about 25,000 Chinese characters.
