Pushed forward by the tide of renewing the curriculum, the reforming of history teaching in the middle schools has made great achievement. But we can't deny that at present most history teachers are still taking classes in traditional teaching modes. And most middle school students are still learn history passively and mechanically. Cooperative learning, which is a new teaching idea and has been an effective teaching method over ten years, is not used widely in history teaching.Aiming directly at some corrupt practice existing in traditional history teaching, and according to the principle that we need to study and practise cooperative learning in levels, this essay makes Class 4 Grade 2 as an experimental class to study the tactics of learning history in the middle schools in the combinative parts of cities and countryside on the base of former research.Directed by the theories of cooperative learning at home and abroad, this essay begins with the basic characters of cooperation and communication in the history to find the cut-point of combining cooperation and history learning and discusses three cooperative learning modes that has the characters of history and are fit for the middle schools in the combinative parts of cities and countryside. The three learning modes are cooperative learning of experiencing history condition, cooperative learning of reforming history construction and cooperative learning of playing history parts and discussing history questions.This three modes try to use theories of cooperative learning in history teaching on the base of knowing well the particular characters of the middle schools and the students in the combinative parts of cities and countryside. They focus on coactions among teacher and students, students and students to train the students to form scientific viewpoints about history and improve the students' cooperative consciousness and cooperative skills. Then the students reach an aim of composing knowledge and ability, process and method, sentiment and concept of value in renewing the curriculum. And this essay summarizes four basic principles of suitable cooperative learning in the schools in the parts between cities and countryside, for people, moderation and fitness. This essay is expected to bring along some schools through the experimental result of No.35 Middle School, make the cooperative learning with characters of history spread widely in the schools in the combinative parts between cities and countryside, and let the idea of renewing the curriculum gain actual effect in the teaching practice.
