Based on the investigations of physics curriculum of China's and foreign nations', combining comparative study and questionnaires, the thesis surveys the optical content of senior middle school physics curriculum and the reform of the physics curriculum in order to better select and reflect the achievements of both classical and modern optics. The author has conducted eight investigations on the factors that influence the selection and reflection of the optical content of senior middle school physics curriculum, including two investigations about the outline, curriculum standards, teaching material and six questionnaires about student, teacher, students experiment and teaching process. From analysis and comparison of these investigations, we can see that the optical content reforming of senior middle school physics of our country is important and urgent, the quantity and quality of the optical content of senior middle school physics is necessary to be increased, especially some parts of geometrical optics should be strengthened rather than simply withdrawn. At the same time, modern optics should be more reinforced because the related content and renovating speed in our textbook is not enough. We should strengthen modern optics and optimize traditional optics instead of lowering the teaching requirement. On the basis of these results the author presents his personal opinions and advices about the reform of the optical content of physics curriculum, including how to deal with modern optical and traditional optical appropriately and recommends some practical ways (such as network education, topic study by students, etc.). Furthermore, the author proposes suggestions on the optical content of senior middle school physics curriculum, on the arrangement of the optical content of senior middle school physics curriculum, and on the innovating of the optical content of teaching material and so on. Finally, the relations between physics and science literacy, physics and science integration are discussed respectively.
