Influenced by the scientism and intellectualism, traditional teaching attaches importance to the requirements of teachers' knowledge ability and skills in order to develop students' cognitive capabilities, and ignores the requirements of teachers' emotional intelligence at individual emotional level. Even if it is mentioned, it has not been thought highly and just as the subordinate concept of other qualities.In the circumstances of educational reform at home and abroad, emotional teaching models, such as lively education, successful education and Chinese context teaching which aim at changing the misadvising models have been put forward in succession on the basis of theoretical and practical exploration for more than ten years. And with the practice of crinum reform in new turn, emotion is emphasized in teaching content and objectives in particular. Chinese teacher should posses the capabilities of dealing with emotion, namely emotional intelligence, so as to reach the teaching objectives and embody the ideal of personification. With the help of the latest western psychological achievements, combinating the practice of Chinese teaching, we should apply emotional intelligence to Chinese teaching in order to optimize the quality structure, facilitate harmonious and all-round development of students, and get the aim-better teaching with emotion.This thesis consists of two parts and discusses the connotation and function of teacher's emotional intelligence and teaching techniques as well. The first part sets forth the connotation, which lays the theoretical basis for recognizing the influences on the student's development. The second part further discusses it in thelight of emotion realizing, stimulating and expressing. Not only theoretically supported but also, explained evidentially, the two parts interrelate and support mutually.This thesis has not only constructive significance for perfecting Chinese emotional intelligence teaching, but also sets forth a new way to the reformation of Chinese teaching.
