The Upgrading And/or Transition Of Prefecture Teachers' Colleges And The Innovation Of Their Teacher Education

By analyzing the background of the upgrading and transition of prefecture teachers' colleges and referring on the experience of the institutes involving teacher education in foreign countries as well as in Taiwan and Hongkong, this paper researches into the upgrading and/or transition of prefecture teachers colleges and the innovation of their teacher education.The main body of this paper focuses on the several teachers' colleges in Jiangxi Province, and then investigates and analyses the following aspects of whose teacher education-the president conception and educational idea, the schools' development orientation and culturing target, culturing model and curriculum system, teaching staff and management, students' practice teaching and the construction of practice bases etc.The last part of this paper puts forward quite a few countermeasures about the development and transformation and after their upgrading and/or transition. This part also explores the model to develop teacher education major and non-teacher education major harmoniously.
