The course of science occupies an important position in the fundamental education. During the era of wide expansion of science and technology, more and more attention is paid to the curriculum design and curriculum implementation. India has a tradition of taking education, science and technology seriously. After independence, large achievements on the development of science course in the fundamental education have been made. Through the study on the development of Indian science subject, article tries to illustrate the historical and present reasons of Indian science curriculum reform at present. Then presents the illustration to our country and provides some advice and suggestion to China's science education reform at fundamental education level.The paper explained and analyzed the historical background, the present situation, with the study method of documentary analysis, description, reason analysis and comparison analysis.After the 50th period of 20th century, when in India the first proposal of establishing the science course in the fundamental education period is presented, science course has been the core courses. After the period of emergence, development and adjustment, the specific curriculum system has been set. Several conclusions can be drawn: the core purpose of science education would be to develop the scientific and technological literacy of student; the integrated science is going to replace the general science and dispatched science.
