| With the development of the economic globalization and cultural diversity, material life in modern society is growing abundant increasingly, but at the same time, social environments are becoming complicated, which has pounded greatly at the junior high school students in China, who are in the stage of growing physically and mentally. Some of the students are lost in their spiritual world. They know little about the value and significance of life, belittle themselves or ignore others' lives. For the above facts, life education, as an important subject, is laid before educators of junior high schools. The thesis is written in view of the present situation.In the "Introduction", the writer describes the background of looking into life education and the necessity of implementing life education in junior high schools in China today.The first part of the thesis is a brief account of life education. The writer first introduces the development of life education in historical order, then studies the concept of life education, and still then make a definition of life education involved in the thesis. The concrete contents of life education in junior high schools in China are included in this part as well.The second part analyses the present situations of life education in junior high schools in China and the cause forming such conditions. In accordance with the contents of life education, the writer describes the present situation of life educations in junior high schools in China from the three basic elements of educational activities—students, teachers and education measures, and sums up the causes to the following five aspects: the influence of traditional culture, the impact of the changes of the times, the choice of utilitarianism in education, the negative influence of evaluation system of education and the teachers' poor knowledge on life education. |
