The modern age witnessed the occurrence of quality-oriented education featuring the learner's originality and creativity. To establish its new phase, experts in Chinese instruction give rise to a fresh concept -the general Chinese, which aims at the cultivation of the core attainment and comprehensive ability in Chinese, with an adoption of modern information technology and multi-patterned instruction. Under these circumstances, the present Chinese unit-conformed instruction support system is produced, which is consistent with the central spirit of unit-conformed education. At the same time, it specializes in primary school instruction, aided by web tools.The present thesis begins with the theoretical background of unit-conformed instruction, followed by a comprehensive analysis of respective aspects the demanded teaching materials, teaching methods, and learning methods, moreover, it involves the previous and current experiences in instruction support system design and development, home and abroad. Thus, a rather complete and thorough design and development of a needed support system resulted.Chapter 1 mainly introduces the research background, potential and the focused content.Chapter 2 involves firstly the theoretical analysis of unit-conformed Chinese instruction. As the foundation of the new unit-conformed instruction, the new Chinese Course standard was firstly narrated, followed by a summary of the target and request of unit-conformed instruction. In the light of the features of demanded teaching materials, the present writer further develops with the optimal methods of learning and teaching, guaranteeing its audience a all-leveled understanding.In Chapter 3, the present writer successfully achieves his innovation of design and development of the specified system. The first section is a depiction of the strength of web-assisted instruction.
