The teaching evaluation is the important method of judging the schools' teaching effect and students' learning effect and process, which retains rather important status in the higher educational reform. The track and field curriculum not only is the main content of the P.E., but also the main curriculum of the P.E. specialty. So making research on the teaching evaluation of P.E. specialty students in the general course of track and field have the important theory and the practice significance. Based on the theory of philosophy, sociology, pedagogy, educational evalualogy, and P.E pedagogy, and utilizing the method of investigation, the dissertation analyze the current situation of the evaluation of P.E. specialty students in the general course of track and field, and construct the teaching evaluation index system of the evaluation of P.E. specialty students in the general course of track and field and analysis the problems during the cause of carrying the evaluation. The content of the dissertation is composed of five parts. The first part briefs the concepts of evaluation, educational evaluation and teaching evaluation. The following two parts analyze the current situation of the evaluation of P.E. specialty students in the general course of track and field and the existing problems based on the investigation. The forth part constructs the teaching evaluation index system of the evaluation of P.E. specialty which can be classified into four aspects: theoretical knowledge, athletic skill, multiple ability, emotion and attitude, which constitute the second grade index of the evaluation of the P.E. specialty students in the general course of track and field. As disintegrated further, there are 23 factors, which evaluate the P.E. specialty students in the general course of track and field from different angles. The fifth part research the related question in the implementation process of the teaching evaluation of P.E. specialty students in the general course of track and field, and analysis the guiding ideology, basic principle and method of the P.E. specialty students in the general course of track and field, and the problem maybe arisen during implementing the evaluation. The result of the research shows that the researches of the teaching evaluation theory and the practice in our country are quite weak and the teaching evaluation index system of the evaluation of P.E. specialty students in the general course of track and field is not perfect. Suggest carrying on the thorough widespread teaching evaluation and the P.E. teaching evaluation theory and the practice research. Based on the research of the evaluation of P.E. specialty students in the general course of track and field, establishes the P.E. skill curriculum teaching evaluation system gradually, consummates the talented person cultivating mechanism.
