Started in the late 1980s,the professional training has played an active role in the reform and development of Echeng Iron and Steel Corporation (EISC). But the workers' capabilities are in low level, technicians especially senior technicians are in great need, which cannot match the development of EISC .So the professional training must be enforced and make good progress.However, there are still some problems, the professional training expenses are not enough for the development of training, the teaching system is not perfect and does not meet the demands of employees, the stimulus framework is imperfect so that it cannot arouse the employee's interest in study, the structure of training body is not reasonable, etc.As far as I am concerned, there are four factors contributing to that, the training department did not make deep investigation into the demands of training, or take in-time assessment on the training items and courses-, managers didn't realize the importance of professional training, they regard material capital more seriously than human resources; the stimulus mechanism is not accomplished, taking training and checking are not linked with employment and high salary; many employees left the enterprise after they have become more capable by training, which somehow has affected the supervisor's investment on professional training.In order to solve these problems, administrators should change their sense of the professional training, and invest more capital on it; the training department must perfect the pedagogic system to improve the quality of training, and make careful investigation into the demands of the organization and the employees; The personnel department ought to better the stimulus framework to mobilize employees' interests in study, and let employees in all aspects have the opportunity of training Only by doing so can we do well in the professional training of EISC.
