It is a main trend of world teachers' educational development to pay attention to the cultivation of the quality of teachers' scientific research. How to comply with era's development demand and improve teachers' scientific research quality, especially the ones of rural middle school is a key matter which we face at present. This research has carried on a research on the scientific research quality current situation of 310 teachers of Dalian rural middle schools through questionnaire investigations from aspects of scientific research idea, scientific research theory, scientific research ability and morals, etc. With the purpose of understanding the current situations of rural middle school teachers' scientific research quality, and offering consults for raising the scientific research qualities of middle school teachers. The result of study shows : teachers' basic scientific research quality of rural middle school is low generally, the ability and theory of scientific research are particularly deficient . It shows concretly: 1. the sex factor is remarkable to teachers' basic scientific research quality influence ; 2. the different title teachers' basic scientific research quality has differences; 3. the academic factor is remarkable to teachers' basic scientific research quality horizontal influence ; 4. the type of the school has not influenced teachers' basic scientific research quality level notably on the whole; 5. the key teachers' basic scientific research quality is higher than non- key teachers' obviously. Article probes into the reason why teachers' scientific research quality is low further, and makes an initial analysis to teachers' basic scientific research structure and content of quality. According to the result of study, the author tries proposing some countermeasures and suggestions on improving teachers' scientific research quality from the angles of educational administrative department, the school and teacher.
