The author tries to review the individualized composition teaching guided by the new curriculum based on current research and the author's seventeen years of experience in teaching Chinese, carries on historical introspection into the long lost "individualization" of composition teaching, tries to probe into the concept of composition teaching deeply, and explains the unique understanding of the individualized composition teaching, the characteristics of individualized composition teaching, the view of teaching and view of relationship between teachers and students in individualized composition teaching as well as the requisition for Chinese teacher's accomplishments so as to probe into the way of implementing individualized composition teaching and the procedure of training, and tries to avoid the tendency of generalized and formularized traditional composition teaching. Composition teaching should lay emphasis on the students' individualized life experience and create environment and conditions for individualized output so as to reach the goal of composition teaching by stimulating the students' latent potentialities, cultivating the consciousness of individualization and expressing individualized emotion.On the probe into the practical meaning of the teaching of Chinese, the author describes the research and practice of implementing individualized composition teaching concretely by combining the author's instance in actual teaching. This research has deep meaning in methodology as well as actual using value.
