This research attempts to reveal the developing characteristics of junior middle schoolstudents in musical mentality, based on the same teaching contents with different teachingstyles with the help of 468 students tested. Besides, the various effects caused by differentteaching styles are also studied. Finally, music appreciation teaching methods and tragedy arefurther analyzed. Based on the above study, the thesis draws a conclusion as follows: 1.Both mental and physical development of middle school students in different stagesand gradations determines the development of their musical mentality. The development ofeach stage has some in common, each has general and typical characteristic. Senior middleschool students have more ability to consider independently and their rational thinking isrising. Therefore , students are to be instructed to research the mystery of music andinspiration should be paid attention to . 2.Senor middle school students take great interest in Chinese folk music, which they areanxious to inherit and develop. Therefore under the guidance of the aim of cultivatingstudents' aesthetic ability, a teacher needs to create fine music teaching style, making musicteaching lively and sense. The methods that do work based on practice are: 1) research studyin music teaching: stories are used to start a new lesson. Music is an art in which motions aremoved. Only by entering the heart and soul of the students can music reach the aim ofevaluation. Starting with stories helps the students involve musical climate quickly and helpmake preparation for study. In addition, Chinese drama and folk music mainly attend tointroduce cultural and history background. Having learned some literae humaniores , thestudents will involve musical study naturally. 2) With positive and effective methods , thestudents are led to participate the creation and performance of music. Or else they are onlystanders-by . Students are the masters of music. 3.Musical evaluating activities stress mainly cultivating the students' intellect and abilityto enjoy music, ending up with aesthetic attitude , ability and taste. Teachers are to furtherconduct students to master rhythm , tune, harmony , style, speed and tamber. Students musicalexperience will be furthered.
