The rise of social software (SS) is an indication for technical advance as well as a reflection of the shift in Internet application mode from Human-computer to Human-Human Interface. With the increasing popularization of some SS such as Blog and Wiki, the trend of their penetration through school education cannot be ignored. Therefore, it's worthwhile to study SS's role in school education and how it functions.The literature study shows that, the application of SS in school instruction is only in its early stage in Mainland China, and a systemic theory study and practical methodology guidance are urgently needed. This paper firstly arranges the theoretical foundations of SS's application in education and revises its theoretical basis. To meet the need to cultivating students' learning competency in Information Age, The author designs a Blog-Wiki-based interactive learning mode according to the autonomous learning and collaborative learning conceptions.To get out of the dilemma of lacking social interaction between student and teacher, student and student, the design of the mode is based on the new concept which considers knowledge as both an entity and a process. With the support of SS's powerful interactive feature, the author designs interactive topics and collaborative tasks in which Blog is used as an autonomous learning tool while Wiki as a tool of supporting collaborative learning. The combination of the two tools forms a convenient and interactive surrounding without technical barrier. The features of this mode are, full interaction, effective collaboration, core question raised during the process, the raise and solving of core question accelerates the optimization of curriculum teaching. This mode is adjusted and improved in the teaching of Learning Science and Learning Technologies, and a new round of test is being carried out. Study shows this mode strengthens the social learning in thoughts and emotion between teacher-student, student-student, improves student's autonomous learning ability and collaborative awareness, effectively inspires student's Meaningful Learning behaviors and ultimately optimizes classroom teaching.This paper suggests teacher's instructional strategies based on this mode through the author's action research, and analyses this paper's study conclusion and the limitations of its diffusion.
