Research On Tactics To Develop Middle School Students Of Studying Geographic Pictures

Geographic Picture is a multi-function information carrier. Developing the skill of middle school students studying geographic pictures (SMSSSGP) has many clear advantages, which will be good for them all through their life. This paper focuses on how to develop the SMSSSGP on the light of new conceptions of curriculum innovation, and modern theories of geography teaching, educational psychology and other relevant sciences. It proposes the tactics of how to develop SMSSSGP by comparing the differences of SMSSSGP between some nations or regions such as United States, Germany, Britain, Japan and Hong Kong, by investigating the current situation of SMSSSGP in China, and by combining some experiences of the author and others, The paper includes: the review of SMSSSGP studies; the national or regional comparison of SMSSSGP; the current situation of SMSSSGP; the physical and theoretical foundations of developing the SMSSSGP; the tactics of developing the SMSSSGP; and the case of SMSSSGP.Geographic Picture is referred to what can be used to show characteristics, causes, processes and relationships of geographic events and phenomena, in the form of diagrams, charts, pictures and so on.
