With the development of information technology and the competition of economic globalization becoming fiercer, we are entering an age dominated by knowledge. In the society where knowledge renews fast, information overflows everywhere and competition becomes intensive day by day, only if colleges and universities keep on learning, innovating, and promoting the abilities of learning, competition and innovation, they can maintain their own competitive advantage and are filled with life vigor. Because their only lasting competitive advantage is that they have the ability to learn more quickly than their competitors, learning ability is the most essential ability to compete for future organizations. To form their learning mechanism is the only method for colleges and universities to maintain continuously and enhance their learning ability constantly. This thesis researches on how colleges and universities establish their learning mechanism in order to form and continuously improve their learning ability, and to keep their life vigor forever. The learning organization theory researches most thoroughly on the organization learning mechanism, therefore, this thesis, from the perspective of the learning organization theory, analyzes the establishment of the college and universities learning mechanism. This thesis tries to expound the implication, the features, the present situation and the establishment strategies of the colleges and universities learning mechanism, though I am not excellent enough. Moreover, this thesis tries to, through the research on the colleges and universities learning mechanism from the view of the learning organization theory, arouse the introspection of the colleges and universities managers and staff to review the present learning mechanism in colleges and universities, and then focus on the research and innovation of this issue, which is another research purpose of this thesis. This thesis attempts to discuss the related issues of the colleges and universities learning mechanism using the learning organization theory as the starting point, and using the theories concerning modern training, human resources development and management, organization behaviour, pedagogy, the higher education pedagogy and the education administration as the support. This thesis consists of three parts: The first part elaborates the implications of the learning organization theory and the colleges and universities learning mechanism. For one thing, based on the previous study in this field, this thesis interprets the concept of the learning organization, including the connotation and features of the learning organization, and the meaning of "learning" itself in "learning organization". For another, this thesis researches on the colleges and universities learning mechanism. Firstly, it explains the meaning of "mechanism"; and then, it elaborates what is" learning mechanism"; finally, it expounds theoretically the colleges and universities learning mechanism. Based on the analysis of the traditional colleges and universities learning running mechanism and its promotion and security mechanism, the author argues that, from the perspective of the learning organization, the running mechanism of colleges and universities learning is based on individual learning of the colleges and universities members, with team study as the best unit and organizational learning as the highest level. The promotion and security mechanism of colleges and universities learning are mainly the learning culture, the learning regulations and rules, the human organizational structure and the network information technology. The second part analyzes the present situation of the colleges and universities learning mechanism. This part, on the foundation of the content of the colleges and universities learning mechanism mentioned above, collects the information of the present colleges and universities learning running mechanism along with its promotionand security mechanism, analyzes their present situation, compares with the implication and feat...
