The Practice Of Total Quality Management In The Teaching Of Higher Education

The reason why higher education institution performs TQM is that the changing of social environment and its self-development highlight higher education quality, which causes it hard for the original model of quality management to meet the need of present quality management of higher education institution. The experience of higher education management indicates that it is not enough to improve education quality and efficiency only with the traditional management theories. Applying the principles of Total Quality Management in higher education management of teaching is to concentrate on all aspect of higher education management and improve the work of them. The very aim is to realize the objective of higher education.TQM of higher education institution is a complete new model of quality management. It naturally has distinction difference from the original system of education quality management. It the presses of performing TQM, it is important to construct a TQM system, conform the circulation of PDCA and adopt all kinds of technological methods to ensure its normal and effective performance. The main business we should do in total quality management in higher education is as follows: fundamental work, including education and training, quality information and quality duty system; to institute quality system; to perform quality system; quality audit for instructional process; continuous quality improvement.
