The experience of higher education management indicates that it is not enough to improve education quality and efficiency only with the traditional management theories, that we should learn from advanced management theories. Applying the priciples of Total Quality Management in higher education management of teaching is to concentrate on all aspects of higher education management and to improve the woke of them. The very aim is to realize the objective of higher education.This thesis has three parts.Part One is Intraduction.analyzing the problems in higher education management of teaching in China, the auther points out the importency of this studym and the relative researchesof others.Part Two is the theory. It' s about the conception , characteristic and main management models . The value of TQM in higher education lies in that it can not only bring the initiative of administrators, educators and educates into full play but also make all the work orderly, standardized and effective.Part Three is the main. The main business we should do in TOM of teaching in higher education is as follows, 1. to prepare to practice 2. to institute quality system 3. quality audit for instructional process 4. continuous quality improvement.
