| This dissertation consists of four parts: Chapter one evaluates the science & technology comprehensive strength of the universities in Shanxi province through the evaluation model of science & technology comprehensive strength of universities. And it selects seven universities of much distinguished science & research characteristic in Shanxi province that represent the science & technology comprehensive strength of the universities in Shanxi province and does some analysis as a case example; then it does some further contrast among the universities in some provinces in China, which summarize the status and characteristic of science & technology strength of the universities in Shanxi province for exploring the advantage of the universities in Shanxi province inlaid the regional clusters. Chapter two analyses the questions that the universities in Shanxi province are inlaid the local clusters. In chapter three, here are some responding suggestions, for exploring a possible method of cluster's road in Shanxi province and science & technology of universities. In addition, it shows that the universities in Shanxi province are inlaid the regional clusters is not only an important method of promoting the competitive advantage and the continuous development of this region, and but also a new selection of the science & technology development of the local universities. In conclusion, it summarizes the whole dissertation, and does some simple description on the future study direction.When processing and analyzing the material of this dissertation, through a lot of data, this dissertation uses charts, graphs and tables to contrast and analyze.
