Exploration On The Theory Of Shame And Its Functioning In Moral Education

On the new developments of emotional psychology and moral psychology, this article reviews the defects of the researches on the theories and application of shame. Then, after discussing the mechanisms and the influential factors of shame, the article explores the effects of shame on moral development and conscience. On the basis of the theory discussed above and the actuality of the moral education, the article concludes the functioning of shame in moral education from three aspects, such as the necessity of the education about shame, along with the feasibility and the main approaches of the education about shame.
