The exploration of high school history course has attracted much attention from history teachers. How to implement the spirit of it, how to put it into full play are the great concerns of all educators. Now, not too much evaluation is available. How to motivate the student to carry it out by the means of evaluation? How to reflect the students dedication and emotional experience by evaluation? The writer states that the innate characteristics of exploration in high school history course demand the evaluation process. It, in particular, emphasizes the whole process, during which the rules of treating the students as active participants and cooperation, encouragement and development, questioning and innovation, highlighting the process must be adopted. The evaluation of study files is very effective as it pays particular attention to the process. Evaluation process emphasizes students' self-evaluation and peer evaluation. The teacher's evaluation only makes up a portion of it. But the teacher, who directs the evaluation, must lead students to draw the evaluation formula, design the forms for the convenience of the students. The formula shouldn't be complicated and combine the quantitative evaluation with qualitative evaluation as well.In practice, the implementation of all the elements in the evaluation process can fully reflect students' research activity and emotional experience, facilitate the effective conduct of research in history course, and motivate them to join in the research so as to highlight the education function ofevaluation process and thus reach the goal.
