The new mathematic textbooks of elementary school are the carrier of the new concept, content and requirement of Curricula Standards of Fulltime Compulsory Education (CSFCE). And the tryout of the new textbooks reflects directly the adaptability of CSFCE. The compulsory education in rural areas is the main body of China's compulsory education and is the key to improve educational quality of our country. Whether and how the CSFCE can adapt to the rural areas' elementary schools are concerned by both the government and the society. Therefore, the study in the adaptability of the CSFCE is significant practically. However, there is little study in it at present.This paper attempts to investigate the tryout of the new textbooks in the rural areas' elementary schools of Liangshan Yi Autonomous prefecture and exposes and analyses the possible problems and difficulties. Accordingly, the adaptability of the CSFCE can be carried out. The paper consists of the following parts:1. Analysis on the four requirements for teachers, students, textbooks and school environment put forward by the CSFCE.2. Investigation of the adaptability of CSFCE in the tryout of the textbooks in rural area's elementary schools of Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture.
