On Human-Based Management For College Teachers

By analyzing the misunderstandings of the concept of"human-based" management and some existing problems in current"human-based" college teachers management, this paper holds to theview that the key of the "human-based" is to meet humans' individualneeds and to achieve their individual development.That is to say,"human-based" essence is "to value people's development"." Human-based" management, therefore, points to developing thehumans in the process of management. This paper holds, only oncondition that we should learn people's real needs and meet their needs,their best development can be achieved, so that the best benefit ofmanagement will be gained. .For this reason, A.H. Maslow's NEEDTHEORY,F.Herzberg's THEORY OF TWO FACTORS OF NEEDMOTIVATION and western HUMAN-NATURED HYPOTHESISTHEORY offer us some good grounds. The "human-based managementfor our Chinese college teachers points to the aim that under theconditions of the Chinese college teachers' overall development, thegreatest performance of management will come into realization. Thepaper goes over and points out the problems existing in the currentmanagement systems among Chinese colleges or universities., which aremade by strict and compulsive multi-level party and administrativemanagement, and puts forward the suggestion that a stronger academicmanagement should be put into use in our universities or colleges in orderthat we can keep abreast with modern university' ideas. Modernacademic management and university administrative management are twodifferent concepts, but in the school management practice, they areseparate and also they are united, and they are a management systemwhich is required to co-ordinate with each other.
