The Study Of Total Quality Management In Higher Vocational Education

With the fastening of higher education populization , the higher vocational education has being developed rapidly. However, instead of the extent of quantity, the quality of the higher vocational education is unsatisfying. The quality problem of higher vocational education has become the people's focuses. The traditional managing concepts, personnel qualities and managing models in the higher vocational colleges and universities more and more could not adapt to the demands of society and the development of higher education. Since 90' of last century, part of Chinese higher colleges and universities has begun to discuss the applications of TQM to the higher education. However, these researches fixed more focuses on how the higher education practice TQM as a whole part. Few studies were made on the practice of TQM on the field of higher vocational education. Hence ,how to improve the efficiency of educational management to realize its substainable development has become an urgent realistic issue.Drawing on the experience of the TQM model in the enterprises, the thesis elaborates the connotion and its theoretical foundation of TQM in higher vocational education on the base of the research of domestic and foreign experts. Through the analyze of the necessity and feasibility of TQM in higher vocational education, the higher vocational colleges and universities should build guarantee, assessment and supervising systems to improve the efficiency of TQM. But because the time that TQM applied to the higher education is not enough in addition to the speciality of higher vocational education. In the end of the thesis, it puts forward several questions that higher vocational education should pay attention when applying the TQ'M to ensure the effective practise of TQM.
