Under the background transforming from purely dealing with the tests in the current basic education in China to the enhancement comprehensive quality, the initiating and the exploration of Inquiring Learning in elementary and middle schools has extremely important practical significance. Inquiring Learning develops very quickly in recent years, it has obtained certain scientific achievement in theory and practice aspect. However, there are still some problems existing: Regional difference arising by different areas' actual situation; the urgent requirement of strengthening the penetration into main channel of disciplines' teaching; exploration of the new assessment method of Inquiring Learning; Transformation of traditional teaching methods, etc. In the penetration into disciplines' teaching, how to well balance Inquiring Learning and the system of disciplines' teaching, teaching progress, teaching condition, teaching effect and time schedule. All these basic theoretic questions related to Inquiring Learning require further research on theory which based on teaching practice.The limitation of Inquiring Learning and the weakness of pure discipline' teaching decide the necessity of unifying of the Inquiring Learning and the discipline teaching. At the same time, respective characteristics provide the feasibility for unifying mutually, which enable both sides have the formidable vitality. Moreover the characteristics of general knowledge course of economics have the nature of moral education and the sense of age, the strong practical provides the advantage for development of Inquiring Learning. Therefore, based on the development of Inquiring Learning carried on in our school, I set out my own teaching practice, combining with the actual situation of our region and our school, strives to study mutual penetration and combination of universal knowledge course of economics and Inquiring Learning, by transformation of both teaching methods and learning methods, in order to advance the teaching efficiency in politics course, enables the students to understand and put those knowledge in to practical utilize.Using the pattern of questioning& discussion in classroom instruction and that of extracurricular research on teaching topic, I have carried on practical study in Researching Oriental Learning in the universal knowledge course of economics' teaching, through varieties of concrete teaching examples, and found two patterns' utilization in the concrete implementation stage. The pattern of questioning& discussion in classroom instruction is divided specifically into four stages: approaching stage, researching stage, periodical summarizing stage and improving stage. The extracurricular research on teaching topic pattern is divides into five stages specifically: first, to propose, analysis, choosing, and deciding the topics; second, to establish the research plan and write the headline; third, to implement it according to the plan; fourth, to make the conclusion; fifth, to demonstrate, inspect and value the results by feedback of questionnaire survey, summarize the whole process.Through the long-term practice and effective, fairly, objective assessment methods, student's learning interest is gradually stimulated, student's study method is transformed, and it also cultivates the students' ability on independent learning, ability of synthesis & analysis for materials and questions, ability of expression in writing and oral form, discernment, ability of social practice, etc. It has developed student's field of vision, exercised student's will and quality, strengthened student's consciousness on questioning, innovative and collaboration. At the same time the teachers also obtained the enormous advancement. However I also found some problem and insufficiency, which provide some experience for me to carry out Inquiring Learning in the teaching of universal knowledge course of economics in future.
