The Chinese communist party put forward an idea of constructing harmonious society in the Chinese communist party 16 sessions of four CCP plenary conferences. Although harmonious society has profuse connotation, equity is essential condition in constructing harmonious society. No society-equity, no harmonious society. Higher education equity is one of important content in society-equity, which plays a great role in constructing harmonious society. Since reforming and opening, Chinese higher education is turning from "brim of society" to "center of society" , and entering the massification of higher education. However, Accompanied with the massification of higher education, the equity of education not only cannot be entirely solved, but also graveness much more. Higher education equity becomes a topic in our society more and more. Whereas, research on countermeasure of how to come true equity of higher education is exigently requested by the praxis of society, which has great academic meaning and practical meaning in forcing healthy developing of Higher education and favoring realization of harmonious society. This paper analyzes problems of the higher education equity in our country across-the-board. The paper is departed into six chapters. The first chapter mainly introduces the background, its meaning, the study state in this field, the methods and its thoughts of this whole paper. The second chapter is explanation of some related concept. It mainly defines the equity, education equity, higher education equity, and then analyzes on higher education fair and equity, free education and higher education equity, higher education equity and efficiency. The third chapter is about the describing of phenomena. In this chapter, based on higher education's logic, the author sums up some existing problems through analysis on the equity of education chance when students are in the whole process, that is the chance of receiving higher education, equity of education in the process of accepting education and the equal opportunity of the result of higher education. The fourth chapter is about cases that influent the higher education equity, in which the impersonal and subjective factors are focused. Comparing research is included in chapter five. Except for introduction to settlements and its evaluations in America and England, the paper gets some use for reference as well. Based on analysis of cause and comparing research, the last chapter put forward some countermeasure of promoting Chinese higher education equity, from policy, system etc.
