Research On Starting Business Of Sci-tech Talent In College And University

From China's scientific and technological reform in the mid-1980s, sci-tech talents of colleges and universities began to start business. To date it has experienced three phases: from opposition to acquiescence then to encouragement. After more than 20 years, the starting business has made remarkable achievement, which not only promotes the higher education but also promotes economic growth. Today more and more sci-tech talents have established close contact with the industry through varies of approaches.On the thesis's structure, chapter one is the introduction of the subject and the features of the thesis. Chapter two gives some relative theories to support sci-tech talents of colleges and universities to start business. Chapter three, points out some achievement and problems in sci-tech talents' starting business of domestic colleges and universities;then compares to the counterpart abroad for valuable experience mainly through the Standford-Silicon interactive development model. Chapter four on the basis of functions and manners of sci-tech talents' starting business gives four operation models creatively. They are discipline system company model, the shareholding -technology park model, the asset management company - holding company model and the joint-stock company or partnership with two company model. Different sci-tech talents can choose appropriate model for himself. The last chapter gives some policies and suggestions from entrepreneurs, enterprise, government and colleges and universities. The thesis has studied the sci-tech talents' starting business of colleges and universities from multi-angle and multi-hierarchy.As component of the national scientific and technological innovation system, colleges and universities have unique advantages in research, talents and equipment resource. They should play a larger role to exert their social services function. Therefore the thesis aimed at bringing forward several operating models and policy suggestions according to the problems existing in sci-tech talents' starting business of colleges and universities. The final purpose is to inspire sci-tech talents more potential to start business successfully. Then colleges and universities can serve the community better than before.
