The advancement of quality-oriented education in an all-round way has a great deal to do with the cultivation of creative talented personnel and the future of Chinese education. The key of implementing quality-oriented education is the teacher, but the teacher-student relationship is a key question in the course of teaching. Establishing good teacher-student relationship in rural junior high schools is of realistic significance not only to the healthy growth of the rural children but also to the ideal achievement in the nine-year compulsory education system.Based on the statistic analysis of questionnaire investigations, we have found out the current situation of the rural teacher-student relationship in junior high schools and the existing problems;Through dialectical analysis, we have found out the sources of the problems and proposed some strategies and methods to solve the problems.The thesis holds the view that teacher-student relationship is a multifactor relation system in social relationship system, not only reflecting the relationships of social economy, politics and moral but also including the relationship between teaching and learning which are essential to the purpose of accomplishing the task of education and teaching.Although in the rural junior middle schools the problem of teacher-student relationship is not extremely serious, it isnot very satisfying. The problems in rural middle schools may be much more serious than that in urban middle schools in the quantity and degree. Many problems which no longer exist in senior middle schools or the urban middle schools may appear frequently in the countryside junior middle schools and they are in lack of the deserving attention of the society.The causes of the problems involve teachers, students, families, schools, government, education history and the social environment, but the main cause lies in the teacher and the radical cause lies in the social economic environment. The new situation requires the rural junior high schools to establish a kind of teacher-student relationship of equal democracy and mutual respect between teachers and students, a relationship of horizontal but not vertical, of mutual two-way but not one-way, of subject-suoject but not subject-object. In view of this, a high-quality teaching group should be trained in the rural junior high schools;We must strengthen the students' voluntary consciousness of constructing the positive teacher-student relationship;Increase the exchange*and communication between teachers and students by means of various channels and new methods;The educational administrative organizations must create the positive political economic environment for the establishment of good teacher-student relationship;The parents of students should give positive supports to the teacher-student relationship.
