With the further development of the reform of higher education, it has become an increasing call to give teachers and students of higher education institutions more humanistic concern. To improve the state of their lives, we must correctly handle the teacher-student contacts during the education process and persist in the"people-oriented"concept in order to optimize the teacher-student relationship. The essence of researching and constructing "people-oriented teacher-student relationship" is to explore the contemporary people-oriented tendency in the institutions of higher learning in the new situation, which is a specific reflection and deep exploration of the scientific outlook on development and"people-oriented"concept, and which is with important practical and theoretical meanings. Now, faced with the challenges and pressures of the current teacher-student relationship in higher education circles, the issue on how to carry out the scientific outlook on development and"people-oriented"educational concept in constructing the teacher-student relationship in institutions of higher learning has become increasingly important. Therefore, this article tries to select the perspective of the"people-oriented"educational concept to inspect the situation and problems of current teacher-student relationship in institutions of higher learning and interpret the current direction of research and theoretical basics in order to explore ways to highlight and realize the people-oriented teacher-student relationship in institutions of higher learning in expectation of improving the educational qualities.Teacher-student relationship is not only the core of interpersonal relationships in school education, but one of the hot spots that educational circles and teaching staffs study and explore. In theoretical circles, scholars have made a profound exploration of the contemporary teacher-student relationship from different theoretical, disciplinary and comprehensive perspectives, forming a scene of theories contended with each other and producing a large number of achievements. However, there is still a tendency of overemphasis on Western philosophy and culture and neglect of useful Chinese traditional educational thought. Besides, some theoretical perspectives are single and absolute. In teaching practice, researches on teacher-student relationship focus more on how to improve the relationship in primary and secondary education. In teaching methods, scholars adopt comparative studies. They compare the traditional teacher-student relationship, relations in advanced western education with the newly established one, make comprehensive evaluation and learn from the results. Whether they're the scholars of the theoretical circles or the teaching staffs, they both haven't explored enough, systematically and deeply the construction and realization of new teacher-student relationship in institutions of higher learning, from the perspective of people-orientation.Guided by Marxism theory and based on education, psychology, political science, sociology theory, this article applies the normative analysis as well as the empirical analysis. After fully learning the current domestic researching situation of teacher-student relationship and talking to representative students and teachers thoroughly, we analyze in detail the situation and reasons of the current teacher-student relationship in institutions of higher learning and systematically construct the content of this pattern and the specific ways to realize it.There are four parts in this article.The first part is a summary of the people-oriented teacher-student relationship in institutions of higher learning on the basis of clarifying the theoretical development context of it. It defines the people-oriented teacher-student relationship as interactions and harmonious contacts and association in the humane form of interdependence, respect, cooperation, talks, cognition, collaborative development and emotional communication focusing on transmission of knowledge and information, exchange of ideas and emotional communication between teachers and students in institutions of higher learning as equal main parts. It contains 4 dimensions of logical elements: interpersonal element on relational main parts, humane element on relational contents, humanitarian element on realizing route as well as functional element on full development of human beings in pursuit of value. This part puts much emphasis on analyzing the characteristics as well as making a summary of the significance of building contemporary people-oriented teacher-student relationship in the institutions of higher learning.The second part mainly explores the theoretical and practical basics of constructing people-oriented teacher-student relationship. Theories such as the traditional teacher-student theory of"teachers are friends"and"friends are teachers", the Marxism on the full development of human beings, people-oriented educational theory,"corporative education"theory, humane educational theory, educational concept of subjectivity provide theoretical support and enlightenment on orientation for people-oriented teacher-student relationship. At the same time, setting foot on current educational system, higher education theory, quality-oriented education as well as current tendency of unhealthy teacher-students relationship in institutions of higher learning, it analyzes the realistic urgency of constructing people-oriented teacher-student relationship.The third part is an attempt to construct the content of teacher-student relationship in contemporary institutions of higher learning based on the demonstration of the above two parts. It is carried out mainly in three aspects: as the essence of the scientific outlook on development, the "people-oriented" philosophy is the guiding ideology of the teacher-student relationship; to achieve the harmonious relationship and two-way full development is the goal of the teacher-student relationship; teacher-student equality, association and harmony is the reflection of the content of the teacher-student relationship.The fourth part mainly explores the ways to realize the teacher-student relationship in contemporary institutions of higher learning. It is carried out mainly in four aspects: change concepts centered on the comprehensive practice of the "people-oriented" educational concept; reform systems well adapted to the principle of the construction of the teacher-student relationship; bring forth new ideas of management based on the "people-oriented" managerial concept; and improve qualities aimed at forming people-oriented teacher-student relationship. The whole process aims at comprehensively practicing the "people-oriented" educational concept and establishing the "people-oriented" managerial concept, thus contributing to the construction and realization of the teacher-student relationship in contemporary institutions of higher learning.
