There are various impeding elements on the path of teachers' professional development, which embodies prominently in the impoverished area. Baojing County which situated at the outlying mountainous area in Xiangxi, has a backward economical development. At Present, research on the teachers' realization of influencing elements of professional development is few, in contrast with research on the stages of teachers' professional development, constructing teachers' ranks, and Teachers' Specialization. This research attempts to investigate the primary teachers' professional development and their realization of influencing elements of Baojing County, then put forward some relevant strategies so as to enrich the theory in our country.This research uses the methods of questionnaire investigation and interview and makes questionnaire investigation to various primary teachers of Baojing County. On the basis of this investigation, the author chooses five cases and makes deeply interview. Then we find that teachers face many obstructions on their path of professional development, for example, the income and the social position is low, and they are also lack of opportunity, and so on. Moreover they have the same and different attitude to it.Through the analysis of investigating data, we draw the following conclusions: these factors such as the sex, the age, the school record, the location and the income , have tremendous influence on the realization of primary teachers. In particular, the diversity is obvious between the city and the countryside teachers because of their surroundings.How do local teachers obtain the better professional developmentand promote the specialized image? Based on the results, we put forward some relevant suggestions. Through the establishment of good society atmosphere, the improvement of school condition and teachers' condition and so on, we hope these measures can help teachers overcome the negative effect of the external factors thus join in well in the education by playing own positive role.
