School—Based Curriculum Development means carrying out the development of curriculum freely according to the idea of school-running, the educational situation and educational practice. School — Based Curriculum Development is an important supplement of curriculum development of state and local government. It has many unique characters and is mainly concerned with teachers' enthusiasm, the students' knowledge level and study demands, the school conditions and the standard of economic and culture in the community where school is located.Nowadays, School—Based Curriculum Development is a hot issue studied by the educational field and it also plays an important part in the development of our country's basic education. The characteristic development of school-based curriculum can be cooperated with school's educational practice, adapted to social reform freely closely related to the student's practical demands. It can make much progress in students' development, take in the ideas of school-running and offer more opportunities to the development of teachers' career.Many primary and middle schools have been taking positive part in the School— Based Curriculum Development. However, limited by influences of the single-planned curriculum and old habits and other conditions, there exist many problems in School— Based Curriculum Development. It also faces many difficult traps. Only when we can analyze and settle the difficulties that appear on the way, make a clear and proper route in theory studying and teaching practice and find out the way out can we do the work of School—Based Curriculum Development efficiently.To settle the questions that occur in the development of School-based Curriculum, we have made some practical deep investigations to certain schools, excavated out and explored the reasons for the trap and tried to break through the questions and make exploration for the way out. So this paper has made it a reference to the School-based Curriculum Development.This essay has explained the aims and meanings of the School-Based Curriculum Development. According to our investigations to certain schools and combined with the analyses to datum, it points out the six difficult situations that our School—BasedCurriculum Development will face and explores the reasons for difficult position in different ways. It brings up some means and way out properly, including establishing schools' democracy science managing mechanism, changing ideas of the persons in charge of School—Based Curriculum Development , rebuilding knowledge frame, co-operation with the school's characteristic, developing School—Based Curriculum freely, developing the students' characters, co-operating with local government, the education department, community and demanding the patriarchs' participating and establishing the appraisal mechanism to School—Based Curriculum Development.
