Nowadays, with the spread of the new curriculum standard's reformation, most of the math teachers have realized the indispensable and pressure of the reform in the evaluation of the students. But there still are problems, either do they betray the evaluation of the new course standard, or do they stiffly hold their ground on the traditional education which emphasizes the mark of the exam and uses mark to evaluate the students. Though it would be an encouragement to the students when they are estimated by mark, it is still a sign to choose the students according to their mark. If the teachers consistently estimate their students only according to their mark, the students would begin to doubt their own ability as well as becoming less and less confident. The "Four Abilities -Nine Segments"—mode of evaluating the students' study quality, is brought forward in this trend.The theory foundation of this thesis is mainly Construction Theory, Post-modernism Theory as well as the though of the Multi-aptitude Theory. In the meantime, this thesis is also based on the Mathematics' Curriculum Standard (Experimental Manuscript). The target of evaluation is to find out fully the students' experience in Mathematics study, to encourage their study as well as to improve the teachers' teaching. What is more, the system of multi-target and multi-evaluation should be established. The evaluation to the students should be emphasized both on the result of their study and the process of their study. More importantly, the students' sensibility and attitude should also be paid attention to, which could help to know themselves and build their confidence. Basing on the theories mentioned above, this thesis makes out some basic principles to establish the evaluation mode.The emphases of this thesis is to introduce the content of the "Four Abilities -Nine Segments" Mode, which is composed by basic knowledge (the ability to write), basic skill (the ability to explain), practice (the ability to do) and the process of the study (the ability to realize).These four abilities, which make up a whole, both tie in each other and differ each other. Based on these four abilities, the evaluation standard, the means and the evaluation result's denotation for the primary schools pupils are established. This thesisanalyzes the cases in practising the "Four Abilities -Nine Segments" Mode as well as puts forward some deficiency and feedback. To write this thesis, I hope to lead to the research of the evaluation in mathematics education.
