Assignment is also called homework as it is done after class or at home. Homework is closely related to class teaching. It is an essential means of understanding, further developing and using what is leant in class. It can not only effectively help develop and improve students'abilities of self-teaching, practicing and working independently, but also help acquire some good qualities, such as self-control, self-management and being wholly absorbed. Therefore, homework assignment is often viewed as an important part of teaching process and an indipensable approach in achieving goals.Based on the existing state of which professors assign the homework, homework contents tend to be seal and rigid, and to demand simple methods, means and arts to accomplish it. The purpose and content draw students to pay more attention to learning by rote and mechanical training. Ignorance of students'feelings, attitudes, values, creativity and practice is very popular. Nowadays Chinese language educators lay less emphasis on assignment and there is fewer relevant research on it. Since many teachers have not taken the proper attitude about homework and these is no definite and specific expatiation in the new standard of course, the homework assignment becomes one of the blind-spot issues in Chinese language teaching and research. As one of the routine teaching steps, homework is a problem that We can not ignore and avoid, especially in the latest course reform. As a result , It is necessary to do theoretical and practical research on homework and improve its quality as well as provide teachers some guide, which will make homework assignment more scientific, effective and live up to students'physical and psychological development so as to bring about their overall improvement in Chinese language.Absorbing and drawing lessons from the advanced educational theories and experiences, this dissertation introduced Constructivism, Multiple intelligences into the Chinese homework arrangement and based it on the scientific principles. Besides, the dissertation introduced into and analyzed the experiences, both from home and abroad, about the assignment of mother tongue homework; and provided practical reference of assigning homework for Chinese teachers.Conducting an in-depth research into the whole work flow of Chinese homework arrangement .and taking thoroughly into consideration the nature and characteristics of the subject of Chinese, the dissertation of the subject of Chinese, the dissertation offered teaching strategy to middle-school Chinese teachers which was targeted at homework assignment and could be operated easily. Effectiveness and science being the prerequisite for such strategy, the students' processes of knowledge acquiring, ability developing and thinking shaping were paid attention to on the basis of sufficiently considering students'recognization characteristic and physical and mental traits, This strategy adequately reflected in subject practice the essence of the homework process by making the process of doing homework a course of strategy clearing up confusion, solving or generating problems, meeting needs, introducing innovation and their selr-demonstration and self-sublimation. With extensive and comprehensive substance,the strategy covered all respects in the work flow of homework assignment, including its objective, content ,and form,etc, and embodized actually the o[inion and spirit of the new curriculum standard. In addition ,this dissertation gave teachers constructive suggestion to make the strategy more serviceable.
