In addition, with the transformation of China's edition and evaluation system of teaching materials from One Outline for One Teaching Material to More Outlines for More Teaching Materials, more and more individuals and groups take part in the competitive work of editing and writing teaching books. From the principles of the selected texts criteria in several middle school Chinese'teaching outlines and course standards after 1960s, High Quality and Great Beauty has been the consistent standard for selecting and editing texts in Chinese teaching materials, which is decided by the Chinese subject's basic characteristic of integrating features of tool and humanity. Besides paying the same extent attention by the editors and the writers of teaching materials to both the form and the content of the texts, this standard also requests that the selected texts should develop with thetimes so that they can be in consistent with the times and the students'interests.PartHI: The specification of the selected texts' standard of High Quality and Great Beauty in middle school Chinese teaching materials is elaborated mainly on aspects of ideological and cultural standards and language standardization.
