Adult guidance to children's development is in the forward position of psychological and educational research both at home and abroad. Young learners' physical and psychological characteristics decide that parent and teacher are the key adults in their development. The present educational status in China is that the responsible educational institutions at different levels take vigorous measures to improve school educating conditions. Now most schools, especially those in cities, are abundant in qualified teachers and advanced teaching facilities, while the correlative family education has little improved. The shortage of necessary directions on how to enhance family involvement in children's education leads to two causes of withdrawal. On the one hand, some parents consider school as the authority of education and depend too much on school education, and on the other hand, some parents are afraid of participating in their children's education because of low education level. How to develop a positive partnership between family and school and how to enhance family involvement in school education desiderate quick exploration and research. Based on the investigation in the actuality of family-school relationship in China, the thesis focuses on discussing how teacher should do to support family involvement in school education and in their children's English learning process so as to help them hold strong motivation and form good learning habits. The new English Curriculum Standard for the primary students is to inspire their steady motivation, self-confidence and positive attitude towards English; to cultivate the students' language sense and enable the acquisition of good pronunciation and intonation; to develop the students' preliminary ability of using English in daily exchanges and to lay a good basis for further study. Many researches show that whether school education or family education could not fulfill the task of educating children alone. It is necessary for family and school to make joint effort for the sake of giving adequate and effective guidance to the one they concern.
