Theoretical Construction And Practical Exploration Of Language Sense Teaching

The theoretical construction of language-sense and its practice play an important role in reflecting and resolving problems in Chinese curriculum. This dissertation deals with language-sense topic both theoretically and practically. First, a brief account of the history of the Chinese language-sense study is given in order to provide a historical background for contemporary language-sense study, from which, the logical starting point to construct current language-sense theories can be discovered. Secondly, from the viewpoints of aesthetics, psychics and pedagogics, an opening and multi-dimensioned perspective and platform for studying language-sense is provided. Finally, practical approaches are provided for cultivating the students'language-sense.This paper consists of five chapters.In the first chapter, a summary of early language-sense study is provided. We introduce the historical background of Chinese language teaching firstly and point out the factors that hold back the progress in the study of language sense and Chinese teaching ideology as well. Then, we illustrate the course of language sense theories. We obtain our conclusion by examining the viewpoints of different scholars according to their whole ideologies, respectively. We also present and review the progress and shortcomings in the study of language sense in this period.The second one summarizes and reviews the current language-sense study. We illustrate the history track of current language sense study and describe its profile; meanwhile we retrospect some important topics and classify them.The third one focuses on the psychological mechanism and cognizing way of language sense. As mentioned in the second chapter, for previous scholars, their philosophies on language sense were different and fuzzy and thus obtained incompatible viewpoints; the formation mechanism of language sense is waiting for clarification.
