The independent study is considered as an important topic of education studypresently. In recent year, it attracted people's more attention, the domestic and foreignindependent study research has also made the considerable progress. The independentstudy is defined as students control their own study in order that improves theirindependent consciousness through the study, promotes their positive initiative studyand promotes themselves self-perfection and self-development. Since China wasreformed in the curriculum, it has promoted with great effort that transformed thestudy way from passive, dependent into positive, independent.The purpose of this paper is to clear up the elementary theory of the independentstudy. And aimed at the problems of current classroom teaching, the other purpose isto propose the suggestions of cultivating independent learning capability and the fieldresearch strategy. We hope to solve the problems of independent study in teaching inorder to instruct the teachers.This paper divides into five parts:First part: the definitions of independent study. The main purpose is to explainthe concepts of independency and the independent study and indicate the value andthe characteristic of the independent study further.Second part: the influencing factor analysis of the independent study. Mainlyanalyzes them from the psychology angle. Moreover, the influence of independentstudy brought by the internal and exterior factors was analyzed explicitly.Third part: a questionnaire survey of independent study to two elementaryschools in Chinches. Through the investigated data and the analyzed result, mayunderstand the state and problems of independent study of the students in theelementary school and can help us to propose the teaching strategy.Fourth part: cultivating independent learning capability. Holds the characteristicof cultivating independent learning capability embarking from its object point, andproposes the feasibility suggestions for improving the independent learning capabilityof students and the feasible method for cultivating it.Fifth part: the strategies on field research. The classroom teaching strategy ofindependent study was aimed at teaching. From the teachers and students two aspects,proposed to establish the harmonious teaching environment and instruct the studentsto study independently in order to improve the independent learning capability.
