The teaching quality of teachers is the key for the reform of education in China. The key of the teaching quality is the research ability in teaching. Out of many different kinds of teacher training programs, the training by school is the closest to the actual teaching experience and thus most easily accepted by teachers and most helpful for teachers. Thus we could say that if a school can work hard on creating good condition to help the training by school, we should be able to achieve the goal of teachers improving their researching ability and even their whole teaching ability and this can really help the development of teachers and school. Thus I decided on making it as my research topic and put it into actual teaching practice in the school I'm in. This can not only help improve my research ability but also help develop of my school.This paper, taking Fu Qiang Primary School for example, using action research as the ways, talks about how to improve primary teachers'research quality under the condition of the training by school and it includes the three following main points:1. get them to understand the idea of educational research.2. basic knowledge of educational research3. how to improve teachers'research abilityOur school's training program includes the following practice:1. lectures----- information input2. pair work between experienced and non-experienced teachers-----guided practice3. group work learning-----co-operated exploration4. teaching reflection, teaching log and teaching story writing-----independent exploration5. topic research.Thanks to all the efforts, our school's teachers'research ability has been improved the way we expected.1. achievement in practice:The teachers'understanding of research, ability in research and putting theory into practice have been improved greatly.2. achievement in theoryThe school has come up with a set of practical ways of teaching training and point out the following new points:a. The purpose of teaching training program is to help teachers set up the idea of all life learning.b. The main base for training should be schools instead of teacher college.During the experiment in Fu Qiang Primary School, we can come up with the following ideas: In the process of new teachers changing into professional teachers, teachers'knowledge and ability training is the key. The acquisition of teaching research ability has to be controlled by the rule of learning and shows the characters of learning. According to what we have known, their development includes three different phases: new teacher level, capable level and very skilled level. We can certainly not able to come up with perfect ways to help teacher development through this experiment, but we can get the following ideas:1. the formation of education research needs a certain research environment, time and experience.2. keep sharp observation and analysis ability in the daily teaching practice.
