On the basis of a sampling survey in 50 kindergartens in Shaanxi province, this thesis analyses the application of Tony Bush's management model thoery to the practice in the kindergartens, holding that Tony Bush's thoery about six educational management models reflects the new research achievements in the field of western educational management. And the conditions and elements that construct the theory also exsist to a great extent in the management practice in our kingergartens. In other words, his educational management models apply to the real practice in our kindergartens to a great degree, and can be used for reference. However, the use for reference should be based on a precise understanding of the speciality of our educational system and culture. And the prerequisite in constructing a synthetical management model is to design flexibly, creatively and adaptively with the value philosophy as the psychologic foundation and active participation of the whole staff as the organization foundation.The thesis consists of three parts.The first part discusses the connotation of Tony Bush's six educational management models, with an effort to analyse the essence of the models in the big background of the development of the western educational management theory. The thesis holds that, according to the different aim,structure, leadership and enviorment of the educating groups, Tony Bush divides the theoriotic schools into formal models, collegial models, political models, subjective models, ambiguity models and cultural models, which mirrors the management practice and management inclination in different period of time. However, the effective model that management practice needs is far from being one. Developing the advantages and avoiding the disadvantages of every model depends on its mutual supplementing with others.The second part discusses the adaptation between the six management models and the real management practice in our kindergartens by comparing the situation described in the six models and the actual happenings in the sampled kindergartens.
