Teachers are the main forces who carry out the new curriculum, any curriculum can only be transformed to teaching behaviors through teachers' understanding and internalizing, Teachers' professional development is the key point to safeguard the implement and the development of the new curriculum. It will affect the realization of the new curriculum directly. The modern education influences teachers' professional development and the new curriculum requires new skills for teachers' professional development as well. The connotation of teachers' professional development has been riched constantly."For each teacher's development" is the important principle of the new curriculum This article attempts to deduce the ways and methods to meet the need of the new curriculum through the connotation and the improvement of the teachers' professional development. The author tries to give some suggestions for the teachers' professional development at the end of the paper.
