Research On Postgraduate's Personal Knowledge Management

Library has experienced the transit from book management, document management to information management, and it is now moving towards knowledge management. Knowledge management has become a front and hot issue in the research of library science.In the era of knowledge economy society, knowledge has become the most valuable assets and the first driving force of change, so knowledge management has received comprehensive notice and recognition from both inland and overseas. Knowledge management is a revolution of management theory and practice. Knowledge management has stemmed from enterprise, but it has applied to any knowledge organization and individual and has deserved them to study, research and practice. Postgraduates are advanced persons cultivated by government; after graduation, they will become the elites in this age and will try for further development with their knowledge. Personal knowledge management is a managing process that an individual identifies, acquires, stores, studies, uses and innovates knowledge. It is an important means of obtaining competitive advantage. Its purpose is to enhance the individuals' ability of managing knowledge and innovation, and to enhance their competitiveness. Postgraduate's personal knowledge management is an important theory and method to well manage and use their own knowledge; more over, effective management of personal knowledge can lay a solid foundation for advancing innovative ability and developing future undertakings to postgraduates.
